# Accessibility statement

We want everyone to be able to buy tickets and attend events. Below you can read how accessible MijnEvent is, how we test it, and how to report a problem to us.

Conforms to WCAG 2.1 level AA

## Our accessibility status

MijnEvent is designed and built to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. Accessibility is a core value of the platform, not an afterthought. We test continuously; where we fall short, we fix it as quickly as we can.

# Standard applied

We use WCAG 2.1 level AA as our standard. It also underpins the European standard EN 301 549 and the European Accessibility Act, which has applied to e-commerce services such as ticket sales since 28 June 2025.

# What we have done

- Sufficient colour contrast for text, buttons and focus indicators.
- Full keyboard operation with an always-visible focus indicator.
- Semantic HTML with correct headings, labels and ARIA where needed.
- Forms with clear labels, hints and inline error messages.
- Screen-reader support and respect for "reduced motion".
- Large, easy-to-hit targets — including the inspector check-in.

# Scope

This statement covers the MijnEvent platform: the public event and ticket pages, checkout, the visitor account, the organiser dashboard and the check-in app.

# How we test

We assess accessibility ourselves (self-assessment) using a combination of automated tests and manual checks, including keyboard and screen-reader operation. Accessibility is a fixed part of how we build and ship new screens.

# Known limitations

Organisers add their own content (such as event descriptions and images). We do not have full control over that organiser-supplied content; the platform components we build ourselves are made accessible, and we encourage organisers to keep their content accessible too. Found something that does not work? Let us know.

# Report a problem

Run into an accessibility problem, or can't do something with an assistive technology? Let us know — we respond within 5 working days and will look for a solution or an accessible alternative together. If we can't resolve it with you, you can turn to the competent supervisory authority.
