# Ticketing for charities — benefit gala and sponsored run — MijnEvent Who it's for # Ticketing for charities and foundations At a benefit, every euro counts for the cause. That is why we charge a low flat amount per ticket — not a percentage that grows with every sale. At a benefit gala, sponsored run, auction or supporters' evening, you want as much as possible to reach the cause. Many ticketing platforms take a percentage of every sale — so the more you raise, the bigger the cut. MijnEvent charges a low flat €0.50 per paid ticket sold (or €0.25 on the Organiser plan at €14.95 per event), regardless of the price. Sell a €100 gala ticket and that fee stays €0.50 instead of a few euros in percentage. Volunteers and free places are always entirely fee-free. If you want to collect donations on top of the ticket, you set it up as an extra "additional gift" ticket type or as adjustable service fees — a voluntary contribution in the same checkout. The proceeds land straight in the foundation's account through your own Mollie account, with no holding account, which suits charitable transparency: you keep sight of every euro yourself. With the CSV export you account afterwards for who contributed what, neatly in your records. A flat €0.50 per paid ticket sold — no percentage. That is the strong point for a charity: with a percentage platform the cut grows with every euro, here it stays €0.50 whether your ticket costs €15 or €100. Free tickets and volunteer places are always entirely fee-free. Selling more than roughly sixty tickets per event? Then the Organiser plan (€14.95 once per event) at €0.25 per ticket works out cheaper. ## Can visitors donate extra on top of their ticket? Yes, and without a separate donation field: you create an extra "additional gift" ticket type, or you add a voluntary contribution as an adjustable service fee on the order. The visitor pays ticket and gift in one go, and the full amount lands in the foundation's account. ## Does the money raised come straight to our foundation? Yes. You connect your own Mollie account, and payments land straight in the foundation's account — no holding account, no waiting period. That suits charitable transparency and gives you control over every euro. You create a Mollie account for free with a Chamber of Commerce number and IBAN. ## We only know part of our auction proceeds on the night itself — is that workable? You handle ticket sales and fixed contributions in advance through MijnEvent; a live auction or raffle settled on the night falls outside the online sale.
