## What does it cost to sell tickets through MijnEvent?

With MijnEvent you pay a flat amount per ticket sold, not a percentage of the ticket price. Pay as you go costs €0.50 including VAT per ticket sold, with no fixed costs, no subscription and no contract. To go lower, the Organiser plan brings the fee down to €0.25 per ticket for a one-off €14.95 per published event — which pays for itself from roughly 60 tickets per event. From about 2,500 tickets a year a custom rate applies, starting at €0.01 per ticket. Free tickets (priced €0) cost nothing on every plan and need no request. There are no setup costs, no per-invoice costs and no refund fees. Separate from all this: Mollie charges transaction costs per order — currently €0.32 for iDEAL | Wero — billed to you directly, not through MijnEvent.

This savings amount excludes Mollie's transaction fees: a flat amount per payment (e.g. € 0.32 for iDEAL | Wero) that Mollie charges to process a payment. Note: this fee is per order, not per ticket — if someone buys 4 tickets in one go, you pay € 0.32 once, not 4×. The MijnEvent fee of € 0.25 is per ticket. Transaction fees run outside of MijnEvent and come on top of this.

Percentage-based platforms charge service fees on the ticket price — billed to you as the organiser or added on top for your visitor. At MijnEvent the fee is a flat amount per ticket and free tickets are always fee-free.

## What does a ticketing platform cost in practice?

The gap with a percentage platform grows with the ticket price: on cheap tickets it barely matters, on expensive ones it is a multiple. From around 2,500 tickets a year the Custom plan (from €0.01 per ticket) is usually cheaper than either column above.

## Frequently asked questions

   Are there setup costs?  No. All plans have zero setup costs. You only pay the per-ticket fee or the fixed amount of your chosen plan.

    Can I switch between plans?  Yes. You can switch between Pay as you go and Organisator yourself, right in your dashboard under Settings — the new ticket fee applies immediately to future sales. Already-published events keep the publication fee they paid. For the Maatwerk plan, just get in touch with us.

    How do payouts work?  Payments flow through your own Mollie account. You receive the money directly, minus the MijnEvent platform fee. We never debit from your account.

    What if I sell a lot of tickets per year?  At high volume (from ~2,500 tickets per year) our Custom plan is ideal: a negotiated rate from €0.01 per ticket, with API & MCP access and whitelabel. Contact us for a proposal.

    Is there a free trial?  The Pay as you go plan is free as long as you don't sell tickets. You only pay when tickets are actually sold. Zero risk.

    What about cheap tickets?  You pay a fixed fee per paid ticket (€0.50 incl. VAT on Pay as you go), regardless of the ticket price. Selling cheap tickets in larger numbers? Then the Organisator plan is worth it: for a one-off €14.95 per event the fee drops to €0.25 per ticket — from around 60 tickets per event you earn that back. Free tickets (priced €0) are free of charge — see the question below about free events.

    Are free tickets really free?  Yes, completely. A free ticket is priced €0, so there is no payment and therefore no fee — nothing for you, and of course nothing for the visitor either. No small print. It is there on every plan, Pay as you go included: set the price to €0 and you are done — nothing to request. Ideal for benefits, free entry, kids' tickets or an internal company event.

    What does refunding tickets cost?  Nothing extra. MijnEvent charges no refund fees when you refund an order — some platforms charge per ticket for this. You issue the refund straight from your own Mollie account. Note: the platform fee already settled on the sold ticket is not returned by MijnEvent.

    Are there hidden costs?  No. There are no setup costs, no subscription on Pay as you go, no per-invoice costs, no refund fees and no costs for extra events or ticket types. What does come on top and is not a MijnEvent cost: Mollie charges transaction costs per order for processing the payment, billed to you directly. If you add optional modules (rentals, food trucks, city vouchers), their price is listed separately on the module page — never activated automatically.

    Which is cheaper: a flat fee per ticket or a percentage?  It depends on your ticket price. A 5% cut on a €10 ticket is exactly €0.50, the same as Pay as you go. On a €25 ticket that same percentage costs €1.25 against €0.50 with us, and at €50 it is €2.50 against €0.50. The more expensive your tickets, the bigger the gap. The other way round: if you sell very cheap tickets (below roughly €10), a percentage platform can work out better — the calculator above works that out honestly for you.

    Can I pass the ticket fee on to my visitor?  Yes. Per ticket type you can set your own service fee, charged to your visitor as a separate line at checkout, with your own label if you want ("Booking fee", for instance). That service fee goes entirely to you. Set it equal to the platform fee and selling tickets costs you nothing on balance. You can switch that scenario on and off in the calculator above.

    What does sending a VAT invoice cost?  Nothing. Visitors who need an invoice create it themselves from their order — with company name, address and VAT number. You do not have to do anything and there are no per-invoice costs. The invoices you receive from MijnEvent for the Organiser plan are free of charge too.

    Do I pay separately for iDEAL | Wero or other payment methods?  Not to MijnEvent. Payment costs come from Mollie and are billed to you directly through your own Mollie account. For iDEAL | Wero, Mollie currently charges €0.32 per successful transaction. An important difference from our fee: those transaction costs apply per order, not per ticket. If someone buys four tickets in one order, you pay €0.32 to Mollie once and the MijnEvent fee four times.
